One of the worst return windows I've seen. You have 14 days from date of order--not date received. It takes several days for the product to even be delivered after order, so effectively you have one week to decide. Will not buy directly from Frigidiaire going forward.

My basement is quite large and partially finished with several small rooms. I purchased two 50 pint Frigidaire dehumidifiers. I wanted to be able to drain directly into basement drain on one part of basement and the sump pump hole in another part which I was able to do by attaching a hose. I like that better than trying to remember to empty a holding tank. So set up was easy. My only complaint was one of the units Arrived in an undamaged box and on the very bottom back screw site, the plastic surrounding the screw was completely cracked. Since it was on the backside, not that visible, and would not affect operation, I didn™™t contact the store where I got it from for a replacement. It was obvious the item was damaged before it was packaged by the manufacture. Since I purchased during winter I have not had a chance to see the unit operating in hot weather. However I am rating this four stars instead of five because of the damage from the manufacturer.

Years ago we tried using other brands and they never lasted more than 2 years. Once we bought Fridgedaire our issues resolved. Our last one was working constantly for more than 7 years. We are repeat customers so we bought another one and the previous little quirks have been resolved in this new one. We have only run it for about a week so we jope the longevity is the same.

We found you have to reset the timer daily which is very inconvenient. Also, the letters on the instrument settings control panel are too small to be easily read. We are seniors and very capable, but are disappointed in these shortcomings.

This unit performs well. Nice to know I can still trust the Frigidaire brand. Other manufacturers (especially on Amazon) tend to overstate the capacity of their dehumidifiers. They do this by expressing the capacity rating in a way that does not conform to industry standards set forth by the federal government Energy Star program. The result is that those humidifiers sound good in the advertisement but actually have a capacity that is 1/3 or 1/4 of what is stated. This unit is quiet and pulls lots of moisture. Thank you Frigidaire!

In Southwest Florida, dehumidifier is an absolute necessity for your garage. T his unit worked extremely well from day turned it on. It is easy to operate and maintain along as you follow the best written instruction that I have recently seen. I would recommend this dehumidifier to anyone.

Frigidaire is a well known brand. When I saw that name associated with a dehumidifier on MAC.BID, I figured I couldn™™t go wrong unless something major was wrong. The plug-in was damaged and needed replacement. Once done, this unit has operated flawlessly since. I have it in the basement maintaining 40% RH. I got a great deal on a great dehumidifier.

This is my 3rd Frigidaire dehumidifier for basement use. The first one lasted 5 years, the second 12 years. The 2nd one may have benefited from an assist from a solar heater which I switched from heating the house in winter to heating the basement in summer. Have the new one only a week or 2, but seems to be working ok. Is much quieter then the previous 2.

In the first week it reduced the humidity level from 60 to 35%. The difference in the temperature of the house has stabilized and the AC unit seems to run less, I would highly recommend the Frigidaire dehumidifier. We are considering getting a smaller one for another room.

The full warranty is limited to 1y (5y for specific parts), the internet is full of complains that the unit dies soon after 1y and any claims are rejected after that.If you expect to protect yourself with buying an extended warranty, keep in mind that this model (and most dehumidifiers, as the support told me) is not eligible and you will only learn that after buying the unit and trying to buy an extended warranty (they don't let you check eligibility until you have the serial number available).If you want an extended warranty, consider choosing a seller who provides it at the purchase time to avoid surprises.The unit itself looks solid, convenient to operate, and works well so far (about a week of use).One thing to keep in mind - I'm not sure if it ever stops after reaching the set humidity level. In my case it would keep running continuously for hours after reaching it but without making the humidity lower (unless I switch to a lower setting).This isn't an issue for me but if you expect it to stop the fan and become silent after reaching the desired humidity level, that may not work.I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature but as I said, it doesn't really matter for me.It's pretty loud but it's an ambient white noise (at the high fan speed) and it's more or less easy to ignore when I'm busy with something not involving focusing on listening.Interestingly, lower fan speeds don't work that well for me because noises not related to the fan become more noticeable and they are more distracting.The humidity sensor looks to be accurate enough for keeping the humidity level in the comfortable range. It more or less agrees with a couple of cheap (and not too accurate) hygrometers I have and with the weather forecast (it's always less humid indoors in my case but the trends are correlated).Overall, my main issue so far is with the lack of transparency on warranty extending ineligibility.Otherwise it looks to be a solid unit within the fundamental technology limitations (e.g. I don't think it's possible to make it significantly quieter until we get some kind of tech breakthrough).

Powerful-feeling appliance. Moves a lot of air. Caught around 30 pints on the first day of using it (place had 80% humidity). Not so quiet, I don't usually run it when I'm nearby, but it's quiet enough in the next room.

Unit died within 10 months. They sent me a replacement that didn't even turn on. Have been without a unit for 4 months and now out of warranty.Still waiting for Frigidaire to make it right - working with their customer service and warranty claim process has been a nightmare.

I conducted my research online, reading reviews & rating at a multitude of sites. This model was consistently rated a superior performer. Control are simple and easy to operate. It removed excess moisture from my home very rapidly. The bucket was easy to remove & the integrated handle made carrying it a snap. The unit rolls easily over tile & carpet. I found the size/footprint of the unit ideal. The fan on this unit is SUPER QUIET ON HIGH. I operated this unit in multiple locations; livingroom while watching TV, bedroom while sleeping and the kitchen on HIGH and was BARELY noticeable. This unit has one of the lowest noise; decibel ratings. Easy to operate, SUPER QUIET, solid construction, stylish & low price makes this unit a 5 Star buy.
