I use this unit to heat and cool my workshop. It is wall mounted about 6ft above the floor and does a wonderful job. It is quiet, and so far doing a great job.

This AC is WONDERFUL...I had originally wanted to install one of those split units but was leary of cutting a 4" hole in the side of my brand new house, not to mention $2,500 price tag attached to them. Then I discovered that window units have heat too!...32 degrees outside the day I installed and within a couple hours I had my 36' x 24' garage up to 70 degrees!! And I got it for $719($799 and then 10% off military discount at Lowes) and they delivered to the house!! 18,500 BTU will handle up to 1050sqft room....LOVE IT...COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!

Due to an interior stairwell in my apartment, I had great difficulty getting an AC/Heat unit to work effectively and efficiently due to the additional square footage the stairwell required and the AC always settling at the bottom. I already had Frigidaire products in the past and was happy with the performance so I tried this one. And, it worked! And worked very well! I recommend this product.

Bought it for the heat feature. Both the heat and cool functions work great. A little noisy on high fan, but that is to be expected. Really heats and cools quickly

I chose this unit to replace the similar model that I had for 9 years. We live in New Orleans, and the unit runs all day, every day of the year, since it is in an enclosed attic area that does not have access to central air from the rest of the house. The new unit is cooling my 250 sq. ft. room perfectly.

Poor design. Slide-out chassis causes air leaks causing the unit to run longer. Also allows bugs to come in. The frame is thin and flimsy. We are constantly adjusting the chassis & frame because it vibrates so much that the fan inside keeps hitting the styrofoam. Over time, it sounds like a helicopter. Choppy-noisy-irritating sounds. There is NO drain. Water builds up inside the unit until it hits the fan and then the water is flung out of the side vents. On humid days, not only does the water come out of the side vents, it pours out through the radiator at the back of the chassis. Our previous Frigidaire A/C was very sturdy and lasted almost 8 years. We bought this one because it was the same dimensions as the previous one. We quickly found out that the quality was terrible on the new model.

This is my second 18,500 BTU Frigidaire AC/Heater I've owned. Because this is a 220v 30amp unit, the heater is fantastic to heat very large spaces. The AC maintains an excellent 30 degree difference between the ambient temp and the output, so you get superior cooling performance...and we should know what good cooling really is...our home is in Texas!You'll need to be sure to have your electrician install the proper NEMA 6-30P outlet, and this unit must be on its own circuit.

We installed this thru-wall, not in a window. I really appreciate that their casings are made to accommodate either configuration. The unit went in easily and started up with no issues. We are using it in a 900 SF upstairs master suite in central Alabama and it is maintaining a comfortable temperature.

This is a great air conditioner with supplementary heat for wintertime use. Came well packaged for safe travel. Basically ™Plug and play™. Cools our house well with great features like energy saving setting, timer capabilities, and fan only once the outside air is cool enough to be helpful inside.

Have not experienced this units cooling efficiency yet. Bought it early in the year so I would have time for through the wall installation and to run the appropriate power to the install location. I have had experience with the heating option though and I think it is great. Set the temp and the unit turns on and circulates the air and tests temperature of the room. If it is not up to temp it will continue to run until temp is at set point. If room temp is already at set temp it shuts down. For me, the heat is a great option. Summer will tell whether cooling is adequate.

i like the 18,500 BTU Window Air Conditioner with Supplemental Heat and Slide Out Chassis couse u can use it all yr round only thing i don,t like about it is the air vint u can adjust right / left and up ( But ) when u put it in up it still blowing down and with it in the window right by my chair thats a problem other then that i,m good to go

I owned previous model of this unit; worked fine for 6 years. Adequately provided heat and air for 70 x 14 foot trailer. New unit, easy install; just pulled old unit out of cabinet and slid new unit into old cabinet. Took less than 15 minutes. Don't forget Model # and serial # of new unit is on the outside of the cabinet. However, I was surprised remote control does not have a display...you have to walk over to the unit anyway, to see what is happening. Makes the remote pretty much useless, at least for my needs.
