The washer and drier work great and efficiently. I like the dryer features that I can adjust the time from 20 minutes with 10 minutes intervals to 60 minutes or use automatic sensor to dry. One time the washer run a whole cycle but did not release water. I had the machine serviced and the service person said that I put too much soap and this may cause this problem. Nowadays laundry detergents are normally concentrated. I only need 1 tablespoon of detergent to wash half load of cloth. With a full load 2 Tablespoon is enough. The machine sensor release the right amount of water to wash the cloth and too much soap for too long can cause the problem. I am glad to learn this lesson or I will continue to put too much soap every time I wash clothing.

Bought this at Home Depot was told by the appliance floor manager multiple times there was a $400 rebate from LG on this washtower. There was even a sticker on the machine that said there would be a rebate on it. Two weeks later LG says my washtower doesnt apply. Refuses to accept any responsibility and pointed all the blame at Home Depot who said LG said wash tower. The loser in this is me -- I get no rebate. I wont buy another LG appliance nor an appliance at Home Depot again.

The LG WashTower is the marriage of form and function. The space saving design has allowed me to easily add it to an area of my renovated laundry space and freed up enough space for a much coveted laundry sink. Controls are easy to see and use. The ThinQ functions are great to have for additional laundry care options. The washer is very efficient with water but clothes come out clean and fresh every time. Having the dryer linked to the washer is absolutely a user friendly option. The dryer knows what to do based on the washer settings. It is so quiet Im glad to have the app to tell me when the washer or dryer is done. I do wish LG would add a soak downloadable option for the washer. That being said Im enjoying the WashTower and all its functionality and design

My LG Tower is the best washer and dryer that Ive ever purchased. I dont think it can get better than this. I guess I could wish for a place inside the washer to store laundry detergent and dispense when washing as needed. The washer communicates the settings with the dryer so all you have to do is start the dryer. I must warn you this unit is very heavy which is good to prevent the unit from being tipped over. Im not a big fan of the download settings but that is just me. I do it on occasion

Ergonomics and the LG Single Unit Wahtower

Our laundry room is 6 feet by 6 feet and it was not designed for a short person. Our old side by side washer and dryer combination was 32 inches deep and 38 inches tall. The built-in cabinets were above the washer and dryer and 14 inches deep. That meant my wife had to stretch over the edge of the appliances to get to the cabinet and she could barely reach the bottom shelf. Add to that the drum on the washer was deep she had use a gripper to reach the clothes to pull them out. Then we saw a store display of the LG Washtower. That changed the game. We spent a few weeks researching the units and taking measurements to make sure we could fit it in the space we had. It looked good on paper so we decided to buy the unit. I removed the old washer and dryer and tore out all the original cabinets. We patched up the walls and added a fresh coat of paint. To brighten the area I mounted an LED ceiling light. We bought a freestanding storage cabinet that doubled our shelf space and it was all accessible without stretching. Delivery day went very smooth the installers were great. They made sure everything was working and all the hookups fit. I finished up by bolting the cabinet to the wall and then we ran our start up test of the Washtower. The center control panel worked well easy to read and set up both the washer and dryer. What can I say it was easy to load and my wife is happy. There was no stretching or reaching to load the washer. Detergent and softener trays are easy to fill. Both units operate quietly and with shorter cycles than our old units. After three weeks we are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend it to anyone who needs a new washer and dryer. Plus they look good. Thank you LG.

I love this machine with the exception that most of the wash cycles are in the Cloud and the app is designed by engineers not users. The cycles are hidden in some submenu. Wash Cycles should be a clear link on the first screen you see when you push on the tower. If some conditions like Power on the washer etc. must be met when you select Wash Cycles a pop-up should tell you. what to do

I really love these stacked units. I bought them because they were the only stacked unit with controls in the middle so shorter members of my household dont need a stool to reach the dryer controls. But more importantly they work great. Washer cleans great. Dryer dries great. Theyre nice and quiet and get the job done pretty quickly. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is that shortly after the 1-year warranty expired some of the LED lights on the washer control panel stopped working. I was advised by a repair technician that this is an expensive repair and it doesnt keep us from using the unit but its a little annoying.

Ive had the unit for about a year and do 4-5 loads of laundry a week. Here are the pros: * fits perfectly in my main floor entryway closet so no more trips downstairs for laundry * my phone alerts me when cycles are done so clothes dont sit * can operate the machine from the app on my phone * has run flawlessly since I bought it over 6 months ago * easy to load unload and transfer laundry * so many options for gentle cycles temps etc. Honestly there are no cons. Just remember with all front load washers to wipe out the door and gasket and leave it ajar so it doesnt develop a smell. The app reminds you to do a tub clean tablet every now and then. One of the best purchases Ive ever made.

Purchased 7/2021 and has been trouble free. Several issues I have are with electronic controls. 1. when wash completes the well drained items are STUCK to the drum a simple end of cycle tumble for several minutes would leave all items available at bottom of drum instead of having to extricate much from sides. 2. Ease of wash/dry modifications is wack-o you can choose some programs but they are not completely tailorable to my needs and often lock out areas Hot Cold Spin Temp etc. outside of pre-sets. You must find your way through download-able menus that also have odd limits to tailoring a desired wash or dry. Likely program written by non users. Wifi unstable and frustrating to reenable after disrupted.

My Wash Tower was just delivered this morning and the washer isnt working. It keeps getting an u5 error which is a malfunction of the vibration sensor. I called LG directly and the person I spoke to was not even familiar with the appliance at all. Ive called the vendors customer service also. Ive spent over 3 hours on the phone today and its been nothing but frustrating. The laundry just keeps piling up

I was restricted by size for my new washer and dryer as I live in a condo and the laundty is in a closet. I cannot believe how much space is in the duo. I bought it for the dimensions but WOW do I ever LOVE the machine. It is amazing for its many useful features. The steam that I thought I would never use is my favorite. I was super excited to use this machine first time using a load of towels the spin cycle was so loud and shook to the point it was moving on the floor. So disappointed in something that cost thousands of dollars.
